Water Damage Miami: Apes, Apocalypse, and The Line

Published by 911 Restoration Miami on July 16, 2014 in category: Water Damage Restoration

Minor spoiler warning ahead for those who haven’t seen “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes” yet … You have been warned and if you hate spoilers (even minor ones) avert your eyes now…. Still looking? Great. Read on. In the opening of “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes” we discover that humanity is on the verge of extinction with a majority of the world’s population wiped out by the Simian Flu and society fallen into post-apocalyptic disrepair. Caesar and his fellow super-intelligent tribe of apes have retreated back into the redwood forest, hoping to build a peaceful future for all of Ape-Kind. His vision of the future is interrupted, and his belief that humanity is extinct dashed, when a group of humans stumbles into Caesar’s intelligent ape society. They have come from a small group of Simian Flu survivors in San Francisco, seeking to rebuild a hydroelectric dam. A dam that will provide survivors with power, water, and a chance to rebuild what is left of civilization. That first encounter between intelligent Ape and nearly extinct Human sets up the dramatic conflict of the entire movie, and serves to illustrate a larger point that any one that works with a water damage Miami company already knows: the line between civilization and chaos is thin and easily crossed.Water Damage Miami

Think of a World Without Restoration

A pipe burst in your bathroom while you were at work, an old water heater finally fails and floods your basement, or gutters clog up and water seeps into your wall. What do you do? You call one of our water damage Miami techs to repair the damage. Thanks to a 45 minute response time and a devotion to customer service what could have been a major crisis is reduced to an annoyance. You might lose an old throw rug but your house is safe and so is your family. But what happens in a world where there aren’t water damage restoration specialists ready 24/7 to fix your home? Water begins to eat away at your floors and walls, mildew creeps across your furniture and bedding, dangerous mold begins to grow in every corner of your home, and your house literally begins to fall apart. In fact, every house on your block begins to fall apart along with civilization itself. Pretty grim fate, right?

Apocalypse Averted

In a small way, the mission of our water damage Miami team is to help regular folks avert every day apocalypses. We keep the small inconveniences of life, like plumbing leaks, from becoming major life altering events that can threaten the safety of your family, your home, and your community. You can help, too, by making sure that your pipes and water heater are inspected regularly for leaks, your gutters are routinely cleaned, and by not mistreating any nearby monkeys or apes.
